MAY 2 - 4, 2019

It's time to head North! Join us as we celebrate a year of accomplishments together as a Rotary family. Let's learn from each other, and work together to generate new ideas to take us into 2019 and beyond. The Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie is working hard to plan three days of fun and fellowship, that will provide opportunities for you to meet new people, grow as a Rotarian, and explore our beautiful city.

Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Sault Ste. Marie (or, as we call it, "the Soo") is situated as the hub of the Great Lakes. This area has been a traditional North American gathering place for millennia. The first inhabitants were the native Anishinaabe people-specifically members of the Ojibwe group. In the 17th and 18th centuries, European settlers began moving into the region and the location became an important stop on the Fur Trade Route. Today, much has changed about Sault Ste. Marie but its tradition of being a gathering place endures. The rich, lush forests of the area provide a colourful backdrop in any season and offer a great setting for fresh air enjoyment.

Meet Your Host Club

We're the Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie. Chartered in 1918, our mandate to support children with physical disabilities has been the heart behind the hard work of hundreds of Rotarians spanning generations. We invest in the Sault’s youth through Rotary Youth Exchange, Rotary Science Fair Algoma, Rotary Sports Awards Dinner, scholarships, local projects such as the Rotary Adventure Playground, and partnerships with local charities. Every year, we enjoy hosting tens of thousands of people at our community-building events, including ROTARYFEST, The Sault’s Summer Festival!
